Welcome to Veliraf Farms Nigerian Dwarf Goats,
right now we have only a few quality animals, who have all been selected for certain characteristics. I have taken the time to research which lines I
think will be of the most benefit to my breeding program. In finding these animals to purchase I looked for animals who have loads of dairy
character, are gorgeous to look at, have incredibly flashy colour, and fill the milk pail nicely. BLUE EYES certainly wouldn't hurt either!! Hopefully this
won't be too much to ask for!! Although all of these qualities are rarely found in one single animal, I believe that our collection will allow us to breed for a multi-purpose animal. Our goats come from outstanding herds such as Velvet Acres, Gay-Mor, Sugar Creek and others. We are planning to start fairly slowly,
in order to familiarize ourselves with the individual animals. All of our animals, both the
bucks and the does, are featured on their own pages. The kids, when they arrive, will be featured
on their own page. |
| Our entire herd has been TB,
Brucellosis, and Bluetongue tested clear, and we have never had any abscesses. We are currently enrolling in the Voluntary Scrapie Program, and will be very proud to be a part of trying to eradicate scrapie.
We strive to make our animals as healthy and friendly as possible. All does, and pre-reserved bucks are pulled at birth and raised on a disease prevention program.

| I do try to update my pages on an occasional basis- but with four young children in the house, it certainly makes finding the time difficult!! |
You may have noticed on our kidding schedule page that all does have a doe kid reserved from them. We have recently imported quite a few bucks, and have decided that in order to see what they are capable of, we must try to expand our herd somewhat. This does not mean we are GOING to keep
at least one doe born from every doe, but we are keeping that option open for us. We may be selling off some of our FF's in order to keep our herd to a manageable level.
