Welcome to our litters page. We will be breeding for both spring and fall litters, so we should have breeding stock available for the most part of the year. We had two litters born in November of 2007, so we do have a few gilts still available. There is one gilt avilable from Atilla's litter of 12. There are two gilts available from Perscilla's litter of 8. We are planning on both having another litter in the spring of 2008, so we will have more stock available then.
We strive to keep our animals as happy and healthy as possible. We do not not use farrowing crates, nor do we clip piglets teeth or tails. Our adult pigs are fed a sow ration, with hay in the winter. When summer rolls around they will be moved out to the yard- where they will be able to roll in the mud, graze on grass, and have access to plenty of healthy sunlight and fresh air. Their spring litter will be raised out on pasture, as naturally as possible. We do not use hormones or antibiotics, we prefer to have the animals(particularily the ones to be consumed by us) to be raised without ANY unnatural substance in their bodies.
